- To gain experience working with patients in a private mental health setting.
- To assess and treat patients with Mood Disorders (including Bi-polar Affective Disorders and Post-Natal Depression), Anxiety Disorders (including civilian and service-related PTSD), Eating Disorders, Substance Use Disorders.
- Provide group therapy sessions using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Psycho-education.
- Multi-disciplinary Team of Psychiatrists, Psychiatry Registrars, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists and other allied health services as required (e.g. Physiotherapies, Massage Therapist).

- The post also allows for considerable focus on psychotherapy.
- Structured parenting interventions are provided using the Circle of Security Model and trainees will be encouraged to gain training in this model and assist with delivery of the training.
- Opportunity to work within an outreach service integrating with other disciplines and services including Aboriginal welfare workers, child behavioural specialists, domestic violence counsellors and other community workers.
